Your smile is cute, but you don’t know that

I see you walk, but we don’t talk, we never did

You play guitar, oh so damn good

You can play me boy, on E-string low

A cold response, you paralysed me though

I never noticed you, but now I did

What should I do?

Your smile is cute, oh should I tell you?

You see me walk, averting eyes, that’s all we do

You play guitar, I do piano

Let’s play together, it will be fun

I’m sure there is some other girl

And if there ain’t you must be gay

A guy like you still single can’t be, no

A cold response, you paralysed me though

I never noticed you, but now I did

What should I do?

This empty longing I can’t fight

 –

You play guitar, so can you teach me?

Your smile is cute boy, so Jr. is your name?

A light breeze rocks the trees

and dancing on the rhytm of the wind

you frisk through the air

You land on an oak’s leave

with your blue-gleaming eyes

pointed at me

I’m watching in silence, breathless

observing how the red velvet on your sides

is able to lift you, to help you fly

Then the warm summer sun seems to hide

behind some fatal clouds and the wind

impresses you with his blowing strength

Suddenly the storm discharged itself

came down for you and with a twinge

crushed one of your velvet wings

Fortune did not smile on you

and just to tease you they

ripped off the other one as well

You cling to the soft purple of the butterfly’s bush

And you don’t know that when summer ends

death will come for you too, my butterfly

Unless, you find the courage to burn

and to rise again from your own ashes

because I would like to see those new wings of yours
